As our E-Commerce & Digital Retail Specialist – Online Chat Jobs | Beginners Welcome, you will handle inbound questions through our centralized chat interface (Shopify Inbox, Gorgias, and Zendesk Chat). Typical conversation flows involve helping customers track pending shipments and expected delivery dates, as well as assisting shoppers with sizing guides, product recommendations, and cart checkouts. Because we prioritize customer clarity and speed, you will be equipped with customized shortcut macros, comprehensive internal knowledge bases, and direct access to team supervisors whenever questions require escalation.

Core Daily Duties

• Utilize pre-approved response macros while adding a personalized, empathetic touch to each conversation.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and helpful tone across every messaging interaction.
• Process standard transactions and requests such as processing simple returns, store credits, and exchange requests via live chat.
• Address common account and service questions, including assisting shoppers with sizing guides, product recommendations, and cart checkouts.
• Engage with incoming customer inquiries via real-time text chat using Shopify Inbox, Gorgias, and Zendesk Chat.
• Monitor multiple simultaneous chat windows efficiently while maintaining high response quality.

Applicant Qualifications & Home Setup

This position is specifically structured to be beginner-friendly. While previous customer service experience is appreciated, no prior experience or college degree is required to be considered. We provide all the specialized software training and mentorship you need to succeed.

• Strong written English communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
• Self-disciplined work ethic and the ability to maintain focus throughout scheduled remote shifts.
• A reliable desktop or laptop computer running modern Windows 10/11 or macOS (Chromebooks and tablets are not supported).
• Ability to type at least 35 to 45 words per minute with strong spelling and grammatical accuracy.
• High-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload) with low latency.

Salary, Hours & Benefits

Your hourly rate of $26.50 - $34.00 / hr is locked in from day one, including every hour of classroom training and live shadowing. We also offer performance bonuses, paid digital wellness days, and rapid advancement opportunities.

• Annual performance bonuses and milestone pay increases based on attendance and customer satisfaction scores.
• Scheduled hours: Nightly 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM EST (Includes +$3/hr Night Differential) with opportunities for voluntary overtime during peak volumes.
• Guaranteed base pay of $26.50 - $34.00 / hr with weekly direct deposit every Friday.
